We are looking for a student to implement a motion estimation system for moving objects in the environment of a car. The car is equipped with a high definition laser scanner. A very basic object detection system has already been developed. In this thesis, the system is to be extended in several ways. The Vision and Perception Group @ Informatics TUM works on the aspects of visual perception and control in medical and mobile applications. We work on vision- and laser-based systems for navigation and for robust 3D reconstruction through early fusion of the perceptual data to  dynamic spatio-temporal models.
